Evidence-informed consulting for individuals, educators, schools, and organizations
It is about understanding ourselves, recognizing possibilities, making informed decisions, and developing the capacity to navigate change.
I work with individuals, educators, schools, and organizations to strengthen career development through evidence-informed guidance, education, and practical solutions.
Individuals
Explore career possibilities, navigate transitions, or plan for higher education through a cutomized series of evidence-informed coaching sessions.
Educators
Navigate teaching and leadership opportunities, pursue graduate studies, or explore new professional directions through specialized career coaching for educators.
Schools
Strengthen career education programs through curriculum design, strategy, professional learning, and program development.
Organizations
Build career development capacity through consulting, strategic planning, and customized workshop design and facilitation.
I am a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP), Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), and career development educator with experience supporting students, adults, educators, and organizations.
I hold a Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University. I am also an Advanced Practitioner of Hope-Action Career Development Theory and hold specialist qualifications in Guidance and Career Education.
Throughout my career, I have worked across public and independent schools and post-secondary education, as well as in university alumni career education. My work has included career counselling and coaching, career and life-planning education, student counselling, educator professional learning, and the development of career education programs and resources.
This range of experience has shaped how I understand career development, as a lifelong process of learning about ourselves, understanding the opportunities and constraints around us, making informed decisions, navigating transitions, and developing the capacity to adapt as our lives and circumstances change.
My approach is grounded in career literacy: helping people develop the knowledge, skills, language, confidence, and agency they need to navigate learning and work throughout their lives. I am particularly interested in making career development more accessible and equitable, and in recognizing that people's career possibilities are shaped not only by their individual choices, but also by their relationships, communities, opportunities, identities, and social and economic contexts.
Today, I bring these perspectives together through career development coaching, career education, and consulting. I work with individuals navigating career questions and transitions, educators seeking to strengthen their own career development or their career education practice, and schools and organizations interested in building thoughtful, evidence-informed approaches to career literacy.
At the centre of my work is a simple idea: people should have access to the knowledge and support they need to understand their possibilities, navigate change, and build meaningful futures.
As both a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) and an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), my work lives at the intersection of career development and education. Career literacy is so much more than choosing a job. It is the knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate learning, work, and change throughout life.
Career literacy prepares individuals to adapt, make informed decisions, and respond effectively to a changing world. It is a lifelong process of exploring values, strengths, and identity, a process I believe should be integrated purposefully through all levels of education.
Whether you're exploring possibilities for yourself or strengthening career development within your organization, I'd welcome the opportunity to connect. Reach out to book a complimentary 15 minute consultation.
